The zombie king, Xa-Tul, is following the last command from his deceased leader, Herobrine; “Crash the server and I will return.” No one knows what will happen if the zombie is successful, and Gameknight999 is making it his mission to stop him at all costs.

With the spider queen, the king of the skeletons and the blaze king all destroyed, Gameknight knew that Feyd, the king of the endermen and Xa-Tul, king of the zombies still remained. He knew Herobrine’s hatred of the Overworld and the NPCs of Minecraft had been so deep that his evil touch would never leave the land until these last two monstrous rulers were destroyed. But the two monsters had not shown their clawed hands…not yet, and this worried Gameknight999.

The lack of monsters in the Overworld began to make the other NPCs worried as well. It was actually Digger’s children, Topper and Filler, that first noticed the glitches, blocks taking a second or two to disappear even after their structure was destroyed, coal ore taking a moment or two to drop the black lumps after already disappearing. At first, no one believed the twins but gradually people started to notice these things as well. The server was glitching, and that had never happened before in the history of the NPCs. Gameknight could think of only one reason why a server would do that…it was being overloaded and was going to crash. Somehow, the monsters of the Overworld must be doing something to draw on the resources of the server, making it unstable. If the server crashed, all the NPCs would die and no one knew what would happen when the software rebooted. Would the NPCs still be alive, would they retain their lives and memory, or would they become mindless automatons like before the Awakening?

Gameknight could not let that happen. Taking an army of NPCs and users to zombie-town, the User-that-is-not-a-user wanted to find out what was happened. But when he reached the massive underground chamber, he was shocked at what he found; thousands of zombies had come here from the other servers. They were taxing the software and hardware beyond their limits and had to be stopped. Would a few hundred NPCs and users be enough…not likely. But Gameknight did not plan on the unexpected ally that would aid him in his hour of need.
